BATON ROUGE, La. (Oct. 6, 2005) Contractors recovered, cleaned and released an alligator at the Bass Enterprises South Facility in Cox Bay, La., Oct. 6, 2005. Hurricane Katrina caused an estimated 3.8 million gallons of oil to be released at this facility. A unified command comprised of the Coast Guard and dozens of other organizations are focusing cleanup efforts here and in other locations throughout southeast Louisiana. USCG photo by PO Mike Lutz.
