our lives changed forever after hurricane rita, we lost something that cannot be replaced; on oct. 10, 2005 my 54 year old husband became a paraplegic due to a fall after the hurricane; our property lost over 30 trees, but only one fell on our home, larry fell off our roof when he cut into the tree with a saw and the tree rolled, knocking him to the ground. Larry broke his neck, collar bone, ribs and back at T4 resulting in a complete injury and paralyzing him from the chest down. After his injury, all the damage to our home and property is insignificant.
